On this day in History 3/22

On this day in 1972, The US Congress passed the Equal Rights Amendment.  Introduced to Congress in 1923, the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), a proposed constitutional guarantee of women’s rights, passed and was sent to the states for ratification.
